Fur and park benches | Don’t hang up yet!

Updated: Mar 31, 2022

With a little over 2 weeks till the year is over, it is normal for many of us to begin thinking about the year ahead. It could either be due to excitement, due several setbacks or losses and especially with everything that has gone on globally, we are probably ready to hang up this year.

It may be new territory for others but if your mind is already living in the next year (so, to speak), I could bet that you were in this same position, ready to hang up last year and the year before that and possibly the year before that before they also came to an end.

While I would definitely recommend a moment of reflection on your year so far and possibly setting goals or resolutions if you prefer, for a solid start to the new year, I would also like encourage you to not be in such a rush, but to live in the moment. Live in the final moments of this year. God’s grace is the reason we have made it to this point.

Appreciate every morning you wake up, the breath of fresh air and your loved ones.

Cease the moment to make another person smile.

Stay hopeful for the light you are praying to see in your life.

Adjust your attitude to how you have chosen to label this year and instead, appreciate what good has come of it.

Begin the intentional process of living the way you have decided to live in year ahead, to allow a seamless transition.

And most importantly, have faith in your journey and purpose.

Trust the process.
